How to Read Your Results

Payload Per Pass

The estimated weight of material carried in a single bucket load, in pounds — the core number for planning how many passes it takes to fill a truck or hit a daily production target.

The same weight converted to short tons, often easier to compare against truck payload ratings.

Percent of Rated Operating Capacity

How much of the loader's safe working load a single full bucket represents. Values consistently near or over 100% signal an overload risk.

Tips for Loader Payload Planning

  • Dense materials fill less of the volumetric capacity you can safely carry. Always re-check density when switching material types.
  • Fill factor drops with sticky, blocky or oversized material — don't assume 100% unless it's a free-flowing product like dry sand.
  • Stay comfortably under 100% of rated operating capacity to protect tires, axles and structural components over the machine's life.
  • Recheck payload whenever you change buckets, materials, or attachments since all three affect the final number.
